Does this class include InfoPath forms?

No, this class does not include InfoPath.  A lot of companies are moving away from InfoPath because it is an antiquated technology, so we provide a separate InfoPath class.

Is there programming involved?
No, not at all.  Everything in this class is done using out-of-box functionality.
Why is this class structured with 4 hours a day for 4 days, rather than more hours and less days?

We've structured our class this way for two main reasons:

  • Reason 1: Life doesn't stop so we can learn SharePoint.

Deadlines still have to be met, emergency projects still happen, and life doesn't stand still simply because you're in a SharePoint training course. To combat this, we've structured the class so students still have time to focus on other things during normal business hours.

  • Reason 2: To allow students to try the hands-on labs on their own, after each day of class.

We have found that this method helps students find what they know and what they don't understand yet. Q&A sessions are available during and after class (determined by the instructor) to answer questions that may arise while working on the labs.

What audience is this class geared toward?

Our SharePoint 2013 Forms and Workflows course is geared power users looking to strengthen their skills in building custom, automated solutions in SharePoint.  Students in this class should already have an understanding of concepts such as list and library settings, views, columns and permissions.

What are the immediate benefits of taking this course?

This course will give you the ability to:

  • Plan and gather requirements for automated processes
  • Plan, create, and troubleshoot SharePoint Designer workflows
  • Use web parts to build advanced dashboards and custom interfaces
  • Plan security and permissions for your custom solutions

What version of SharePoint do I need?

We provide you with a test site collection in Office 365. The content of this class is applicable to those running SharePoint 2013 on-premise, off-premise, in the cloud, and through Office 365.
